Introducing Broker Asheville’s Bret Frk, Buyer Specialist…

Broker Asheville’s Buyer Specialist Bret Frk comes to us after a truly unique career in real estate. Before joining our team, Bret spent eight years as an urban designer, working on the award winning Homestead Preserve project in Hot Springs, Virginia. Then, he turned his focus to land conservation, assisting with the preservation of over 45k acres of undeveloped land. Bret is well loved by our buyers because he has a relaxed, no pressure style.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and I attended the University of Cincinnati, where I majored in Planning and Urban Design.

Q: What advice do you have for Asheville buyers and sellers?
A: Do a drive-by. See if the neighborhood feels like a fit. Asheville is a funky place and knowing the neighborhood before you fall in love with a property is time well spent. The best part of helping people buy a home is that a home purchase can change their lives, so I like to make sure that we find the right spot.

Q: What’s your favorite Asheville neighborhood?
A: We have lived in West Asheville, the River Arts District, and Haw Creek. Depending on your lifestyle, all are fantastic places to live. For me and for others with a young family looking for great schools, Haw Creek is it!

Q: When you’re not assisting Broker Asheville clients, what are you up to?
A: Spending time with family, fly fishing at the East Fork of the French Broad River, hiking Looking Glass Rock, smoking BBQ, and boating at the beach.
