In Asheville, North Carolina we have the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its breathtaking views, a plethora of restaurants that earn us the title “Paris of the South”, and you might have heard we also have an amazing beer scene! Broker Asheville loves our local and regional brews, and this time of year breweries and cideries release some of the most anticipated seasonal small batches.
Highland Brewery’s Cold Mountain is at the top of our list every year! This beer is the unicorn of seasonal bevies; it is so elusive that it has it’s own twitter handle where followers tweet spotting in and around town. If you see it, buy it because it won’t be on the shelves long!
Our friend’s at Noble Cider know how to make some amazing holiday beverages! Noble Cider was founded in the new ‘Craft Brew Mecca’ of Asheville in the middle of North Carolina’s apple country, and Noble Cider brings together a rich local history of agriculture with this region’s exciting craft beverage industry. Along with their year round ciders: The Standard Bearer, The Village Tart, The Golden Arrow and the Spiced Merchant, they have an mouth watering Winter ‘Friar Fig’. This cider is basically a figgy pudding cider with figs, raisins, spices & brandy. Yum!
Sierra Nevada’s Christmas Jam Session Ale is a hop-driven ale that is available now but only in Asheville. It is brewed in celebration of the annual Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam!
Asheville Brewing Company’s Ninjabread Man Porter is Jeff Stewart’s favorite! Nothing says ‘Happy Holidays’ like this beer!
Our neighborhood brewery, New Belgium, located in the River Art’s District, released their seasonal ale, Accumulation, in October and it is offered through December.
Our team hasn’t made it to Catawba Brewing yet this season but we have heard good things about their King Winterbolt.
